I have a blind cat named Daisy, so sound is essential for any toy in our house—otherwise, it gets lost and forgotten. Noise-making cat toys can be annoying, especially when they wake you up at 3 AM, so finding one that’s engaging for her but not disruptive for me has been a challenge. This toy, however, is perfect. It makes just enough noise to keep Daisy interested without being overwhelming. She has to focus closely to track the sound, which adds to her engagement.
All of my cats love it, even my older, cranky, and usually anti-social cat, Max. He’s started camping out near it to play alongside the others, which is a rare sight! The rounded bottom is a great feature—it doesn’t topple over, and it works well on both carpet and tile.
My only complaint is that it’s not rechargeable and goes through batteries fairly quickly. After almost two months of use, I’m starting to wonder if it’s wearing down a bit. If you read the title, you already know I love this toy. I’ve had it for a few weeks now, and it’s been a game-changer for my cat, Ninja. At 4 years old, he’s still a spring chicken with endless energy. Since I went back to working full-time, he developed a habit of waking us up at 4 AM and then again at 5 AM for playtime. I was exhausted and desperate for a solution. Ninja is also highly intelligent, so he gets bored easily with predictable toys, even the expensive “smart” ones with timers. But this toy? It’s completely different.
The unpredictable movements—switching directions, spinning, and bouncing almost like it’s alive—keep Ninja endlessly entertained. The worm attachment doesn’t have robotic movements, which adds to the realism and keeps him engaged. I also love that he can be left unsupervised with it because the wire is short enough to prevent any risk of choking or tangling.
Ninja is so obsessed with it that he even drags the toy into whatever room we’re in, as if to show off his “catch.” It’s been a lifesaver for my sleep and sanity, and I can’t recommend it enough for anyone with a high-energy, intelligent cat like Ninja. This toy is worth every penny!
